His expertise extends to conducting creek bioassessments, monitoring water quality in creeks and storm drain infrastructure, microbial source tracking, and performing on-land visual trash assessments. With a background in conservation biology, federal environmental compliance, and Phase I stormwater compliance, Helek brings a comprehensive skill set to environmental initiatives. Helek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz.
